To reach its objective of power, China anchors its economic strategy on the internationalization policy of its companies. To achieve this, it opts for the strategy of soft power, a real instrument of its realpolitik. FOCAC, the forum where the implementation of the CDTAs was decided, is one of the vehicles of this strategy. This study focuses on the implementation of the CDTAs in sub-Saharan Africa and is particularly interested in Cameroon. Using an inter-theoretical approach (Waltzian neo-realism and geopolitics) coupled with discursive neo-institutionalism, this research argues that China "s "win-win" discourse is an illusion designed to conceal the maximization of its gains. This being the case, neither food security nor the transfer of Chinese agricultural technology is a guarantee for Cameroon if it is not systematically included in the dialectic of intelligences. The Chinese deployment in CATAC attests to this. It is the expression of realpolitik.
