The profitability of an organization is determined through its sales, assets, equity or share price. In this regard there are several opinions and definitions, for example, it can be mentioned that profitability is the relationship between benefits and costs that are generated based on the use of the assets that the organization has in its productive activity.In that sense, the purpose of this research is to demonstrate the influence of fixed asset costs on financial profitability; for this purpose, the costs of operation and maintenance of assets in the production of drinking water of the company Sedapal S.A. have been analyzed. In virtue of the above, the study is based on a quantitative approach, known as traditional method, and under a non-experimental design of transversal type, descriptive level. The applied technique was documentary analysis, since the research was based on the analysis of technical reports, financial statements and statistical data. The sample was focused on groundwater wells, located in the district of San Juan de Lurigancho, province of Lima, where the renewal of equipment was made by expiration of life.
