The Mining mainly can be split in three processes: extraction, classification and production of minerals. Some of these process such as classification and production can be achieved through the Vibrating Screen. This project will regard about a problem that was occurring in vibrating screen developed in Brazil - UNA2011. The problem consists of the material changing its direction on the deck during the process, leading it to a low mineral production. The goal of this project is to solve this problem by using the software MATLAB, a Mathematical Model which will describe the system's motion and define a maintenance plan for the Vibrating Screen.

The project was developed by the three authors during the Project Engineering course at HBV University - Norway. The final work was presented at the HBVexpo 2015 - an Engineering Exhibition in Norway.
