Summary of the Book: The work examines Schuon's theory of the transcendent unity of religions and it also seeks to show that decline of the sacred is partly due to the lack of appreciate of the esoteric content of Orthodox Religions which are at their core. In addition it makes an argument for the outward exoteric features of Orthodox religions to aspire to certain intellectual contemplative standards so as to draw the worshiper into the heart of religion's esoteric core. The work further makes the argument that in the past one of the reasons for the prominence of the sacred was due to less of an attempt to humanise its outward forms.

The author studied philosophy at the University of Assumption in Bangkok, where he specialised in the philosophy of religion mysticism and the Perennial Philosophy. In addition to continuing research in the field of mysticism, the author has also published several articles on art, usury and political philosophy.
