The Theology of a Heretic begins by detailing the development of my personal theology. The book then utilizes this theology as the basis for analyzing God, Jesus Christ and the gospels. The development of Christian theology during the early centuries of the history of the church is then explored with an emphasis on Christology. The exploration of the nature of Jesus Christ includes a review of heretical, non-Christian and even hostile points of view. The book compares and contrasts the canonical gospels with each other as well as with the apocryphal and heretical gospels. All of these books are in turn analyzed according to the principles of my own theology. The book will also touch more briefly upon issues related to theology, eschatology, the nature of evil, including an analysis of the figure of Satan and the development of the church as an institution. Mormonism and its claims are analyzed in detail. Finally, the book concludes with an exploration of the nature of happiness.
