The inspiration for "The Spirited Aviator" came as a result of Donalyn's work at USAirways (formerly Piedmont and now American). Her love of flying, traveling, working with people and helping them with their travel needs was something she really enjoyed.Her wish is that you would enjoy reading it and be encouraged by it as much as she was as she compiled the thoughts over the years.A graduate from Stetson University in Deland, Fl with both a B.A. and an MEd, Donalyn Knight is the Founder and President of The Spirited Athlete, Inc. The company is now in its 11th year. The Spirited Athlete, Inc. has an inspirational and motivational product line from a Christian viewpoint as well as presenting College- Bound Athlete Seminars to athletes, parents and coaches, and presenting Motivational Seminars for Coaching Staffs.She taught high school for 38 years at Seminole High School in Sanford, Fl and has over 16 seasons of extensive athletic coaching experience.While at Seminole High School, she has been awarded over 12 Coach of the Year Awards, Teacher of the Year for Seminole High School, as well as being awarded Seminole County Teacher of the Year.Donalyn was inducted into the SHS Coaches' Hall of Fame, being presented with the Doc Terwilleger Award. Seminole High School most recently named the Outstanding Female Athlete Award after her and it is now the Donalyn Knight Award for Outstanding Female Athlete.She has worked with Olympic and Professional athletes and served as Fellowship of Christian Athletes Liaison to the WNBA Orlando Miracle.Now retired from teaching and the airline, Donalyn is growing The Spirited Athlete under God's leading and is also working promoting her previous book "Lessons from the Ocean" as well as adding "The Spirited Aviator" to the list.It is obvious by her endeavors that she has a real zest for life, and that is directly related to her relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ."To serve Him above all else through whatever it is that I'm doing to make His name known is the highest honor and privilege of all What a Joy it is to serve Him To God Be the Glory "
