A former naval officer, in security and environment, he dedicated himself to the development of the maritime heritage of the Cevennes and to the promotion of multidisciplinary scientific explorations after an in-depth study of Charles Darwin's logbook at the Charles Darwin International Institute, directed by Professor Patrick Tort.
