There are no such things as zombies. We all know that. Yet late one night at the end of the summer at a service centre on a quiet highway, fourteen people came together. Truck drivers, a couple, the employees and soldiers heading back from a big exercise. After the power outage and passing out they woke to find themselves someplace different. Still in the service centre the surrounding area was different. There was a subdivision where before there had been none and while they are trying to figure out where they were and what had happened they see what looks to like a zombie. Now they have to pack and get out of the area as the woods and subdivision behind them may be full of more zombies. Not everyone knows what is going on and the group may well split as some want to walk out immediately. At the end the party drives away from a twisted nineteen fifties setting straight from a bad horror movie while the horde that they have roused slowly starts following them. The military is out there somewhere and there has to be a plan on how to deal with this. The only answer is to head out and find whatever authorities are out there using the few clues that they have. Someone must be fighting this right? Life can't be following a movie plot can it? There are no such things as zombies. We all know that. The Service Centre is the first in a new series on the zombie apocalypse with a bizarre twist. May you enjoy
