Religion has been the most effective "tool" ever invented by rulers to organize and divide society, monopolize ad eternam power and wealth, and subjugate destitute hordes that neither have, nor ever will have, either. All these fictional cults have institutionalized an arbitrary system of "good" and "evil" that allows the auto-proclaimed earthy representatives of imaginary Gods to retain absolute power by singling out, persecuting at will and throwing to the wolves, selected groups of the downtrodden masses. Most human activities in life are aligned with gender and performed in de facto segregation. Inevitably, this induces strong bonds of friendship within same sex groups. The logical outcome of intense, same gender friendships, is love, but for peculiar reasons homosexuality has ended up in the "bad" box of religion. Recently, on the West-European and North American continent, the LBTG community came out en mass and staged aggressive and prolonged campaigns demanding equal rights. After an intense and at times violent struggle they were finally recognized as citizens in their own right. These same rights have not been extended to LBTG citizens on the African continent because crooked politicians (using bigoted religious zealots, just as their predecessors did in the old world) distract the attention of mostly illiterate - and as such very superstitious and religious populations - from the genuine issues by scapegoating the LBTG community for all social and environmental problems. Insisting, at every opportunity, on our rights to our sexual preferences is the only way to demonstrate that LBTG make up 20% of the world's population and are active participants in the evolution and achievements of society. As a citizen of a country that puts same sex relationships on the same footing as heterosexuality, I use my writings as testaments to my homosexuality without peril for myself and family.
