While this book is ultimately about Christianity, there is so much background that has to be covered, that things specific to Christianity are not found until the 13th Chapter. The first part of the book is a critical investigation of the nature of human consciousness. This is based on actual observations and in some cases experimental data. We find here that the spiritual nature of humanity is a reality. Before this can really be understood, however, the process of modern science has to be discussed concerning how it has been misapplied in such a way as to make this type of investigation impossible. So, in the beginning, the book describes and corrects these misconceptions. Once the reality of the spiritual world is understood, the book then can approach the subject of how this relates to some basic Christian concepts such as God and the afterlife. The book then investigates the effect of the reality of the soul on human psychology and how it relates to faith and the idea of redemption. Even up to this point the book still has not actually dealt with the historical questions considering the person of Jesus. But finally, the reader is in a position to consider this history from the perspective of this correct understanding of our spiritual reality and interrelated psychology.
