John D. Caputo, the David R. Cook Professor of Philosophy at Villanova University. He is the author of numerous books on continental philosophy and religion, including On Religion (2001), M ore Radical Hermeneutics (2000), God, the Gift, and Postmodernism (1999, co–edited with Michael J. Scanlon), The Prayers and Tears of Jacques Derrida (1997), and Deconstruction in a Nutshell: A Conversation with Jacques Derrida (1997).
