The book analyzes the situation of the Province of Venezuela at the time of the War of the Spanish Succession, 1700-1715, taking as elements of analysis the economic, social, political and ideological characteristics of both the Iberian Peninsula and the Province. This work constitutes a milestone in historiography, since there are no previous works that approach this subject with the due scientific historical rigor. The documentary sources of first order constitute the main resource used in the realization of the present investigation.
