She learns that if she stays positive and does the right thing she will be okay and she'll be able to find other positive and friendly birds like herself to play and have fun with. She feels hopeful as she flies across the sky, singing and twirling blissfully. The illustrations are beautiful and inviting. As the Lone Bird travels across the sky learning about life, the reader gets to fly alongside her and sees the luscious green rolling hills and the brilliant blue skies. The journey takes place in the beauty and comfort of the countryside where the many farm animals and other critters are grazing in the fields and enjoying each other.
