Stephanie Homer completed her PhD at the Institute of Modern Languages Research, School of Advanced Study, University of London. Her research interests include issues of genre, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and trauma in the Kindertransport context, the gendered understanding of Heimat, and the lives and works of German-speaking exiles and refugees from National Socialism. She is also an active member of the Research Centre for German and Austrian Exile Studies, London.
