Ronan de Calan lehrt Wissenschaftsphilosophie an der Universität. Zwar wurde er nie polizeilich gesucht, musste nie ins Exil und benutzt Bettlaken grundsätzlich nur zum Schlafen, aber seine tiefe Zuneigung und Bewunderung gilt jemandem, den er den »Propheten von Soho« nennt: Karl Marx. Donatien Mary ging zunächst durch die harte Illustratorenschule von Straßburg, zog dann nach Paris, heiratete dort alsbald die liebreizende Fanny und brachte sein erstes eigenes Buch heraus, Les Derniers Dinosaures - Die letzten Dinosaurier. Natürlich wird er noch eine Menge weiterer Bücher veröffentlichen, die viele begeisterte Leser finden werden, und so wird er nach seinem Tod unvergessen bleiben.
