The author is working in the regional and urban studies in China for a long time, and visited the old Lhasa city for many times during the past decade. The author has been served as a national expert of UNDP ‘Tibet Development and Poverty Alleviation Programme’ since 2006, working on the old Lhasa city preservation and international trade development issues.
