Not only has he reduced his earlier volume to its essentials, but, as he argues, unless sinners know and experience the true sabbath - spiritual rest through faith in the saving person and work of Christ - eternal disaster awaits them. There is a second reason behind this work. The accusation most often laid against new-covenant theologians is that of 'Antinomian ', with their view of the sabbath being offered as invincible proof of it.
