Sylvia Nasar, geboren 1947 in Rosenheim, studierte Wirtschaftswissenschaften unter anderem in New York und München und war lange Jahre als Journalistin tätig. Sie schrieb für das Magazin "Fortune" und als Wirtschaftskorrespondentin für die "New York Times". Heute lehrt sie als Professorin für Journalismus an der Columbia University und lebt in der Nähe von New York.
