Heart failure (HF) is a condition of high morbidity and mortality. Early identification and assessment of high-risk patients by imaging and biomarkers help to improve management and prognosis. These works sought the prognostic value of multiple parameters for cardiac function and mechanical synchrony indexes derived from conventional,Tissue Doppler Imaging, Speckle Tracking Echocardiography by Vector Velocity Imaging and advanced 2D Strain; correlating with NT-pro BNP and examine their influence on the outcome at the end of one year for primary end point as cardiac death or HF hospitalization. This work revealed ejection fraction ,deceleration time, systolic velocity(Sm)and late diastolic velocity(Am),VVI and Advanced 2D-strain techniques showed that longitudinal LV function parameters(velocity, strain, strain rate and displacement) and Mechanical intra- ventricular synchrony were significantly predicted cardiac outcome and strongly correlated with NT-pro BNP.The work revealed that 948.5 pg/ml NT-pro BNP cutoff values predicted the cardiac outcome,so combining NT-pro BNP and imaging test seems to be a rationale approach, breaking a new ground in HF monitoring & management program.
