"A few years from meeting the deadline for the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, this book provides health leaders, development partners, and scholars an innovative perspective for a better understanding of the ODA contribution to realizing SDGs, specifically SDG 3 on Health. The remarkable case study of Uganda underlines the interconnected challenges of aid and development, alignment and harmonization, ownership, coordination, and good governance, considering the cultural practices. Moreover, the book provides key elements towards ensuring the success of the ODA as a substantive contribution to the economic and social emergence of African countries." -Pierre M'Pele, Mercy Ships Ambassador for Africa; Member of the National Academy of Medicine of France; Former World Health Organization Representative; Former UNAIDS Regional Director for West and Central Africa; Author of several books, including The Path of an African Doctor
