Acute, insightful, and a wonderful and long overdue exploration, introduction and appreciation of one of the truly great film directors Francesco Rosi. A man with one of the great compositional eyes who told stories documenting cultural history and a witness to reality in all its complexity and duality. Working with him on his adaptation of Primo Levi's' 'La Tregua' was one of the great learning experiences of my life. It cemented our deep friendship and love for
each other.
