An experienced elderly Native Physician who goes in search of some rare, hard-to-find medicinal herbs into the interior of a jungle situated in the Kegalle District of Sri Lanka with his young Assistant, discovers a body of a beautiful young girl in early twenties, fully clad in a blue-coloured blouse and a floral blue-white skirt lying on the ground in a prone position. While checking the pulses of the girl, the physician finds that she had been dead for more than two days but quite surprisingly her face and the neck area that are exposed, appear very fresh and lively. Thereupon, they rush to the Kegalle Police Station and bring the police officers to the spot where they found the dead body of the girl earlier but the Police soon discover that the so-called corpse of the young girl had disappeared without any traces. Subsequently, four murders of young male graduates and undergraduates in Software Engineering in Colombo take place in a series and the Police believe that those murders have been committed by a serial killer who was hell-bent to wreck vengeance on those victims. Nevertheless, the Police are baffled as to why the killer has purposefully left behind his finger prints on the scene of the crime. When considering the prowess and exceptional strength exerted by the killer in committing these four murders, the Police conjecture that the alleged killer is an able-bodied strong man. However, while tallying the finger prints found on the murder weapons, the Police become dumbfounded when they match with the finger prints of a tender young girl in her early twenties named Stella who figured out in an earlier murder case as the only eye witness to her illicit lover's brutal murder committed by her own elder brother. Thereupon, the Police with the help of the mass-media make a thorough search in order to apprehend the suspect Stella who had left the country about a year back but returned to the country about one month ago. Despite all the efforts taken by the Police, they were unable to trace her whereabouts until she herself writes to the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Colombo Crimes Investigation Bureau confessing that she personally carried out all four serial murders of her colleagues at her Institute because they severely ganged-raped her until she died and dumped her dead body in a jungle in the Kegalle District and adding that there is no point in trying to apprehend her as she is on the verge of dying again since her mission of taking revenge has been accomplished. Now, a certain paranormal phenomenon emerges out of this strange situation: If Stella died as a result of the gang-rape, how could she return and commit those four serial murders? Did she resume her former life after death and wreck vengeance on her four colleagues? Carefully read this aesthetically and poignantly written novel rendering explanations to a Paranormal Phenomena by an erudite Professor in Parapsychology who delves into the realm of Avenging Revenants and expounds the truism that Stella turned herself into an Avenging Revenant and wrecked vengeance on her perpetrators of crime who mercilessly ganged-raped her causing her untimely pathetic death.
