Dale Pender runs into Miles Jackson at a gas station in Seattle, Washington. The two haven't seen each other in fifteen years. Dale is an all-around good guy, down on his luck, trying to make a living as a master carpenter. He lives with his parents and daughter. Miles, on the other hand, was not raised with a lot of love. He has been on his own a long time and looks out for "number one." Neighbors would say he's a good looking Black Dude who has "made it." Miles is very happy to run into Dale. Dale saved his life a few times in Viet Nam. Miles considers Dale very trustworthy. Miles and Dale struggle with the opportunities that are presented to them. Should they take the chance or walk away? Dale accepts the job offer from Miles to work for him in his Warehouse, as an Inventory Clerk. Dale is ignorant of what the job is. He never suspects Miles of any wrong doing. Does Dale believe what the FBI is telling him? Miles's goal of scoring huge profits in the Drug Trade are ambushed. Dale is not caught in the web and makes it out in the nick of time. Miles ends up in a "creek without a paddle." Dale has to know that he can be trusted. Miles misplaces his trust on the wrong people.
