For the past 25 years, Dr. Young has shaped and drove strategy work for the implementation of new technologiesand promoting digital transformation through the delivery of business application modernization strategies across organizational application portfolios.Guiding executives across business function and IT, Richard helps identify business threats, baseline your current security program, and define securitystrategy in line with business objectives and technology strategies.As cyber and data security leader, Richard's specialized technical knowledge and corporate governance experience helps you build not only a strong cybersecurity foundation, but also the agility to prevent, detect and mitigate evolving threats. Dr. Young is currently a director of Technology Risk at a global financial institution based in New York, and also an adjunct professor in cybersecurity at HarvardX, California Southern University and Ithaca College, just to name a few. Dr. Young is passionate about building cyber resilience and cyber skills capacity to fight the 21st century cyber incursions. For the past 12 years, Dr. Young has been assisting organizations in the Europe, Middle-East and Asia Pacific build resilience and establishing stronger cyber defenses and teams. The cybersecurity function has a wide range of responsibilities that extend far beyond dealing with firewalls and antivirus software. It should be responsible for providing necessary policy direction to protect the company from emerging threats, and for directly managing senior IT team leaders to ensure they are prioritizing the right aspects of a strategy at any given time.
