Doctor Raymond Harris, is the Red Fire Ant Project leader in the department of entomology at the University of Texas, in Austin. He believes that he has found a solution to the Red Fire Ant problem with the introduction of its natural predator, the South American Phorid fly. On May 3rd, Dr. Harris released the Genetically Modified South American Phorid Flies in the city of Kilgore. Now, one month later, he has returned to find that his experiment has gone amuck and turned Kilgore into a cross between two horror movies, The Swarm and The Night of the Living Dead.
