His main research activities include noninvasive mechanical ventilation in critical care and pulmonary medicine, weaning from mechanical ventilation, humidification and airway clearance in mechanically ventilated critically ill patients.
Dr. Antonio M. Esquinas is director educational coordinator of various international working groups and research activities on noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
Director of International College of Non Invasive mechanical ventilation, Academic Non Invasive Mechanical Ventilation and the International Fellow Non Invasive Ventilation program to promote excellence in clinical practice in research and education. He is active professor involved in teaching respiratory medicine and has been a director in schools of noninvasive mechanical ventilation in Europe, Latin America , USA, India and Saudi Arabic.
His publications (430 articles indexed and edited 49 books) are related to practice of noninvasive mechanical ventilation (weaning mechanical ventilation, COPD exacerbation) , and hypoxemic respiratory failure
This book uses real-world clinical case analyses of hot topics to provide insights into noninvasive mechanical ventilation (NIV).
