As there is no one around to explain, she's left to explore the chasm. She finds some unexpected things in the craters that have been blasted into the walls of the bottomless pit. Two Ships
This story takes place on a sailing ship. But it is quickly discovered that this ship has some real problems: it's been taking on water longer than anyone can remember and there is a ship killing storm looming on the horizon.
