With the growth of religious institutions and consequently the controversies involving such institutions and their leaders, we are faced with requests for the extinction of the legal provision of tax immunities of temples of any worship, such a provision is positive in the Constitution of the Federative Republic of Brazil of 1988, the maximum law in our legal system, this work presents the study of religious institutions and their tax immunities, if it is possible.
