Overall, this book is unique because it provides divergent opinions and sometimes conflicting views on how to best regulate the international financial system and contain systemic risk. It is an enjoyable and informative read that I would recommend to anyone who is interested in expanding their knowledge on financial regulation and systemic risk from a legal perspective. Anita Anand holds the J. R. Kimber Chair in Investor Protection and Corporate Governance. She is a professor of law at the University of Toronto and is cross-appointed to the School of Public Policy and Governance. She is the Academic Director of the Centre for the Legal Profession including its Program on Ethics in Law and Business. She is also a Senior Fellow, Massey College.
