In this book, method development for different tablet formulations to incorporate Cefuroxime Axetil in sustained release drug delivery system is described. Cefuroxime Axetil had saturation kinetics that could be overcome by slow release of drug from the formulation, by incorporating Cefuroxime Axetil in sustained release drug-delivery system. Sustained release system provides a constant release rate during a prolonged period of time provides a better control of drug levels in plasma, minimizes dosing frequency, reduces side effect and increases efficacy. All the parameters and the results studied in the research are revealed in this book. From the research work, it was concluded that sustained effect of Cefuroxime Axetil can be achieved using hydrophilic polymer.

Saini, NishaI was born at Una, in Himachal Pradesh, India on Feb. 10, 1987. I did my schooling from my hometown. I am a science student and in 2005, I entered RITS, Sirsa, in Haryana, India for graduation and gained it in 2009. Then in 2010, I moved to Solan, in Himachal Pradesh, India for post-graduation in pharmacy from Shoolini University, Solan.
