The number of missionaries from the Majority World or underdeveloped countries is growing. Countries that received many missionaries several years ago are now sending missionaries. The growth of churches in underdeveloped countries and their growing missionary movements are trends that have explosive potential for the future of the church. Some have proposed partnership for this growth, while others continue to use the Three-self formula church s method. Gospel for Asia (GFA), a mission agency founded by K. P. Yohannan, gives its own solution for this growth, to give financial support from resources of the rich Western churches to indigenous missionaries. The idea is that since a big difference exists at the economic and social levels, supporting missionaries from developing countries is easier than sending one of their own to those developing countries. The strategy of supporting national missionaries from underdeveloped countries with resources from developed countries has raised new issues and problems. This book will focus on several aspects of GFA s strategy and search for plausible answers.
