Metal bellows are used in flexible expansion joints that carry fluid at various temperature conditions. The stress-strain behavior of material used to manufacture the component is subjected to vary when it is exposed to elevated temperature during its service. The typical stress-strain properties vary that greatly influences the component performance. Few authors studied the static behavior of metal bellows at elevated temperature. The change in ductility influences the meridional stress behavior. Through this book, the research exposed the non-uniform material behavior during fabrication leads to failure of component. The main objectives of this project are to understand the empirical material model that produces different stress-strain curve, to study the influence of various stress-strain behavior of a material on the static behavior of metal bellows and to develop elastic-plastic numerical analysis using finite element modeling.
