This book examines the characteristics of Chinese college students' mobility since the expansion of higher education by using a nationally representative data set.

It analyzes college graduates' mobility from both horizontal and vertical dimensions. Liping Ma is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Economics of Education, Graduate School of Education at Peking University, China. She earned her Ph.D. in Economics of Education from Peking University and then continued her research as a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University. She was also a visiting scholar at Columbia University, University of Maryland (College Park) and University of California (Irvine). Her research interests include education and the labour market and the quantitative evaluation of education policies. As the Principal Investigator, she has undertaken projects for the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Social Science Foundation of China. She is currently the Deputy Director of the Institute of Economics of Education (the key research base of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education of China) and the Deputy Director of the Center for Institutional Research of Peking University.
