Earthquake is one of the most important natural events. There are lots of earthquake researches to learn more about the earthquakes and to mitigate its harmful results. Paleoseismology is the only way to define the paleoearthquakes and to guess the possibilities for the future destructive events. To do so, stratigraphic evidences which are the mimics of the geology is used to investigate the large earthquakes during the trenching. ule Gürbo a is a structural geologist with the research interests in active tectonic, neotectonics and paleoseismology. She holds a B.S. from Ankara University (Turkey) in 2000, M.S. from the BRI (Japan) in 2008 and a Ph.D. from Middle East Technical University in 2012. She is currently working at Akdeniz University as a Dr. Research Assistant.
