The Author: Albert B. Randall received a B.S. from Maryville College, an M.Div. from Louisville Presbyterian Seminary, and an M.A and a Ph.D. in philosophy from The University of Oklahoma. On various grants he has traveled in Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Syria, Kuwait, and Yemen. He has taught philosophy for thirty-four years at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee, and is the author of The Mystery of Hope in the Philosophy of Gabriel Marcel: Hope and Homo Viator and Theologies of War and Peace Among Jews, Christians and Muslims. Currently he is conducting training sessions in Islam for United States soldiers in various units stationed at Fort Campbell before they return to Iraq.
