He is the author of Oromia & Ethiopia (1993) and Fighting Against the Injustice of the State and Globalization: Comparing the African American and Oromo Movements (2001), and the editor of Oromo Nationalism and the Ethiopian Discourse: The Search for Freedom & Democracy (1998).
