The main aim of the work is to design and develop an electronic control system that can be used to control the speed of AC motors kept at remote locations using a wireless technology. In this project, we are using DTMF generator which generates the analogue output for the corresponding button pressed using key pad. This analogue output is fed to the FM transmitter and sent through the antenna. At the other end, the FM receiver picks up the signal and feeds it to the signal decoder, there the decoding takes place and this decoding data is given to the PIC microcontroller. This microcontroller is initially programmed for this specific operation using PIC Microcontroller. This software in the PIC receives the signals and accordingly drives the SCR circuit, which in turn is connected to the load serially. When the user enters the correct password, the PIC receives the signal and accordingly drives the load. Depending on the signal it receives, the speed of the motor is controlled accordingly (digitally). Thus, saving a lot of time and hence proves to be cost effective and time efficient. It has domestic and industrial applications in our daily life.
