Editors′ Biographies.

Robin B. Hunter is a senior lecturer in the Computer Science Department in the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. He has been in this department for over thirty years, having previously been on the teaching staffs of the University of Glasgow and the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He has a B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees, both from the University of Glasgow, and is a member of the IEEE Computer Society.

The best practices for software process improvement (SPI) and the related international standards are the focus of this new and valuable reference. It is a collection of republished papers from some of the best journals in SPI and original papers commissioned from some of the leading international experts in field, providing in one volume a significant proportion of he accumulated expertise on SPI.
