The authors in this study aimed to find out Social Exclusion and Quality of Community Life of the persons with disabilities.Used structured interview schedule to collect data which consist of three parts. The first part contains the socio demographic data, the second part consists of the Quality of Community Life scale prepared by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the third part is social exclusion scale developed by Cok Voorman and Stella Hoff in 2011. The data was collected from 232 participants. The collected data were scrutinized, edited and classified and it was coded and tabulated with appropriate Softwares. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics were used to analyse the data and came up with findings on Social Exclusion and Quality of Community Life. Finally the researcher came up with doable suggestions to improve the quality of community life and the social inclusion of the persons with disabilities.

F. Jayachandran is Currently Pursuing PhD in the Department of Social work at Pondicherry University, Puducherry, India. Also he is a Ministry of Minority Affairs Scholar- Senior Research Fellow. He has completed his Master of Social Work (MSW) specialized in community development and M.Phil in Social work.
