Pediatric obstructive sleep apnea is a sleep disorder in children characterized by repetitive episodes of nocturnal breathing cessation due to upper airway collapse. OSA in children is now recognized as a common disorder and can be associated with significant morbidity and the children affected with this condition are more likely to have behavioral problems.
