Introduction:A cross-sectional descriptive epidemiological study was carried out in the health area of the Clínica Estomatológica Docente Celia Sánchez Manduley municipality of Santa Clara during the period from January 2018 to January 2019.Objectives:To characterize signs and symptoms associated with temporary dental flare-up referred by mothers and their relationship with sex, weight, gestational age, pathological history of the child, as well as with the educational level and number of children of the mothers.Methodology:In a sample of 102 mothers, 93 of them associated symptoms and signs to the temporary dental flare-up manifesting with greater occurrence, itching of the gum, sucking of objects and abundant salivation.Conclusions:In terms of sex, birth weight, gestational age and pathological history, the mothers reported symptoms and signs associated with dental eruption; however, in mothers with only one child and with pre-university level they found more association.
