Sheriff Teddy and the Plutonian Invaders is a humorous mid grade farm animal mystery novel. Teddy's more than just a dog; he's the sheriff of his farm and he takes his job seriously. He just wishes that the nephew, Deputy Brownie would do the same. Along with the other deputies, his cantankerous best friend Puffy and a wise cracking duck from New Jersey named Joey; they've tackled cases about missing eggs and sheep stealers with no problems. It's when aliens from Pluto kidnap Deputy Brownie, thinking he's Earth's highest life form, that Sheriff Teddy has admit that some cases are out of his league. A riot then ensues on two worlds as Sheriff Teddy tries to figure out how to get his nephew back and the Plutonian come to understand why no other race ever has or ever will visit Earth or the state of Nebraska. It all starts, one autumn evening as Sheriff Teddy and his deputies are watching a meteor shower, enjoying a calm uneventful night. Deputies Joey and Brownie leave the farmyard to go on patrol and discover an alien ship in an abandoned barn. In the panic to get back to Teddy, Brownie is captured and Joey is knocked unconscious. As all of that is happening, unknown to the law animals, Geraldine Goose (the farm gossiper) is kidnapped by a mysterious animal that has mistaken her for Joey. Hilarity follows as Geraldine's kidnapper struggles with the talkative goose and Brownie rockets his way to the unsuspecting residents of Pluto leaving Teddy, Joey and Puffy to figure out how and why.
