This book presents an analysis of religious practices carried out in Ponta Grossa, Paraná, to honour the Holy Spirit. I discuss the manifestations that took place at Casa do Divino, a place that earned this title after Maria Julia Cesarino Xavier sheltered inside it the image of the Holy Spirit, a dove with open wings, carved on a piece of wood she had found in a river. These celebrations have been held in the city since 1882 and continue to this day. The main objective of this work was to understand the relationships that men and women have established with the sacred through festive celebrations in praise of the Third Element of the Holy Trinity, covering rituals, symbols and social structures. To this end, the sources used were: newspapers, festival programmes, interviews and the process of listing the property (Casa do Divino). The research found its theoretical foundations in Roger Chartier, Michel de Certeau, Pierre Bourdieu, Michel Vovelle and Mircea Eliade.
