Joe B. is one who has been in denial for some years. His life is a shambles. He is divorced, out of a job, living alone in Greenwich Village. Still he drinks heavily; so heavily that every night he sees, on the wall opposite his bedroom window, shadowy demons. He has a friend who has stopped drinking through a program he belongs to. The friend takes Joe B. to meetings with him but Joe B. has a hard time getting the message. Finally, after several truamatic incidents, Joe B. is faced with a choice: fatality or sobriety.
