ABSTRACTBodybuilding is aimed at developing to the maximum well-defined muscular hypertrophy, for this an adequate level of self-efficacy to physical exercise is needed. Objective: To analyze the self-efficacy to physical exercise in female bodybuilding competitors in Chihuahua, Mexico. Method: The design of this research is non-experimental, descriptive in scope, with a cross-sectional quantitative approach. The sample was selected under a non-probabilistic criterion by convenience, which consisted of 122 female bodybuilding competitors, their ages ranged between 18 and 55 years. The Self-Efficacy Questionnaire for Exercise (CAE-E) validated in the Mexican version by Delgado et al. (2017) was used. Instrument measures the degree of confidence that people perceive to be physically active, questions: 1 and 2 represent the negative effects, 3 resistance to relapse and 4 and 5 to give themselves time to exercise, with respect to the score in the answers, 1 has no level, 2 low level, 3 moderate level, 4 high level and 5 very high level. Results: We observe the category, the number of competitors and the age.
