By renewing the curricula, schools attempt to meet the challenges and adjust the changes that occur over time. Unfortunately, the curriculum changes in Finland have not worked as they have been planned. It is evident that girls display some positive signs in attitudes towards technology and in some new areas, including for the abilities traditionally considered as being masculine. It is also obvious that the reduction in technology education lessons from 1993 to 2022 have contributed to the underachievement of boys. The problem of the inequality in the field of technology also seems to be far more complicated than we used to think. A justifiable question that pertains to other point of view in equality is whether all students without any regard to gender are offered the opportunity to select study groups based on their wishes and interests, which allows them to pursue in-depth study of the subject that they are really interested in. In short, it is not only technology education that is responsible for solving such a complex problem as gender equity, but society as a whole.
