Takeshi Hamano is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Cultural Research, the University of Western Sydney, Australia. He is finalising his PhD thesis on the transformation of the meaning of Japanese international immigration. In particular, he focuses on the increase in the number of Japanese female marriage migrants.
