Ramón Jaime Estrada Soto was born in Coyhaique, Chile, on April 20, 1957. He did his basic and secondary studies in his hometown and Puerto Montt. He graduated as an Agricultural Engineer in Valdivia. As a writer he published his first book in 2009, which is called "Largo Aliento: Factor de Sobrevivencia".
