I am a writer, poet, wife, mother, grandmother and survivor. I have been writing stories and poetry since I first discovered Poe's works at the age of thirteen. Drawing upon the rich and troubled history of the South where I was born, I create poetry, fantasies, horror, science fiction and mysteries. My work is a unique mix of the influences of my childhood: spooky old southern houses, dark, secretive woods, science fiction and horror movies, and the tragic heroines in Gothic novels as well as those I knew in real life. In my dreams, I quite often escape into other times and worlds, and my poems and stories reflect that. I love anime, and I get a kick out of trying to emulate them as well. I want my work to be fun and interesting, and thought-provoking. There is an inherent magic in asking "What if?" that I find irresistible. I hope you will, too.
