The object of the study is the new music from China that emerged as a result of interaction with Western culture. The subject of the study is the music of Chinese composers of the XX-XXI century in terms of stylistic and genre specificity. The purpose of the study is to reveal the originality of the synthesis of elements of traditional national culture with modern Western trends in the work of Chinese composers. The importance of the influence of socio-cultural factors on the formation of the aesthetics and poetics of musical compositions is revealed. A detailed analysis of the period of Chinese musical culture under consideration is presented from the standpoint of the wave process of mastering innovations and turning to traditional sources.
